Sample Day

Bar-T will run it's inaugural summer on the campus of Holy Child in 2010.  We are thrilled to expand our services to this community and have been fortunate to work with the school administration on putting a program together that will bring an outstanding camp choice for your kids !  We have already put veteran staff in place to start planning and preparing the groundwork for this elite program.  Our counselors and specialists possess a boundless passion for working and having a blast with kids and are committed to providing quality service to our families.

Parents will drop off and pick up on campus each day.  Extended Day hours are available if requested.

Three programs will be offered on campus:

Ages - Kids entering Kindergarten - 4th grade

Our Traditional Camp is a multi-faceted day camp program which will offer sports, music, drama, art classes, swimming, environmental awareness and practice, nature, games, fitness, dance, theme days, cookouts, volleyball, group projects and challenges, field trips and adventure.  Each day will offer different choices for the campers to keep their summer exciting and fun.

Along with the traditional camp day, we will offer specialty camp weeks.  The content will greatly depend on our recruitment of staff that are trained and experienced within that specialty.  Some of the ideas that we currently have are:

Sports

Will operate during designated weeks that are conducive to the instructors' schedule. Campers will enjoy some components of the traditional camp day with most of the emphasis of their day spent on their selected sport learning skills and playing games.

Art Classes

Will operate during designated weeks that are conducive to the instructors' schedule. Campers will enjoy some components of the traditional camp day with most of the emphasis of their day spent on art and learning.  Specific class content will be determined once our staff is recruited and we know which skills our team posses.

Dance Classes

Will operate during designated weeks that are conducive to the instructors' schedule. Campers will enjoy some components of the traditional camp day with most of the emphasis of their day spent on dance instruction and application.

Adventure

Campers will spend time each day off property engaging in a new adventure. Climbing, Zip Lines, Hiking, and Rafting are examples of the type of activity that will be offered during this week.

Bar-Teens - Kids entering 5th grade and up

Program specific for our older campers who need a new twist to their camp day. Campers entering grades 5th and up will be a part of our Senior Camper Program known as Bar-Teens. This group of campers will enjoy more off property camp days. Weekly field trips and overnights will be a regular part of the summer weeks.

Junior Bar-T League

Campers must be toilet-trained and 4 years of age by the start of camp. We will offer many of the same activities that we offer with Traditional Camp with some modifications made to better meet their needs. We will also work with our 5 year olds to help with their transition to Traditional Camp by assigning Camp Buddies that are older and incorporating special "Buddy Time" during the camp day to do fun things together.

Open House

Date Announced early spring - this is an opportunity for parents and family members to come visit the camp and to meet the staff that will be working with their children.  This Open House is typically in early June on a Saturday afternoon.  We will post this date soon and also include it with confirmations upon enrolling.
